Arinsal has a lovely open, east-facing bowl that sits above the resort. Head over to the neighbouring resort of Pal and ski the tree lined runs. Beginners will find the gentle nursery slopes set high enough to take advantage of excellent snow conditions throughout most of the season. The instructors in the ski schools speak English and are always really friendly. This makes the learning experience that much easier. Intermediates will find the Cota area at about 7000ft a good test of skills as it offers a good variety of blues and reds. Pal also has a good selection of long wide red runs to perfect your carving turns on. More advanced skiers and boarders can try the steep runs off the Pic Negre and Pic alt de la Capa for moguls.
