The modest chalet-style Hotel Le Val Chavière is a homely place to rest your head in Val Thorens, the highest ski resort in Europe.
The décor in the rooms is simple, but it’s all about the views here – open your doors and you can gaze across the slopes and watch the Pionniers chairlift whizz past you on its way up the mountain. You can’t get any more winter than that.
