Run by the Pramstaller family for generations, Gasthof Edelweiss is a great-value pick right in the centre of Mayrhofen. It’s got a mix of well-equipped apartments and comfy bedrooms, so you can make the most of Mayrhofen’s many excellent restaurants with bed and breakfast or self-cater to save a few pennies.
The guesthouse itself has an up-to-date feel, from the simply furnished bedrooms to the bold, green colour scheme in the restaurant. Step into the hotel bar, and things feel more traditional, with lots of rough wood panelling – just the ticket for some proper Austrian après.
If you choose to stay bed & breakfast, head to the restaurant, grab a plate and fill up on a buffet spread loaded with platters of cold cuts, fresh fruit, cereal and oven-warm rolls.
