One of Mayrhofen’s oldest hotels, Der Siegeler has been welcoming guests for over 100 years.
Nowadays, it has a fresh, modern look that really lives up to the ‘this lifestylehotel rocks’ tagline. Think modern alpine décor, with plenty of natural wood throughout. Upstairs, the bedrooms are bright and inviting, thanks to the large French windows that open on to your own private balcony. And downstairs, you can get your après kicks in the popular Mike’s sports bar or catch some live sport on the TVs.’
The location is spot on. In the morning, step outside and hop on the ski bus to the Penken gondola. And evening, it’s just a short stroll to Mayrhofen’s buzzing bars and restaurants. The building itself is set within large gardens, so it feels tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the resort centre.
When it comes to food, head to the hotel dining room for a hearty buffet breakfast – choose from boiled and scrambled eggs, sliced meat and cheese, cereal, fruit, and plenty of fresh bread. In the evening, you’re free to explore Mayrhofen’s many restaurants. Or if you fancy something more convenient, upgrade to half board and take your meals at the nearby Hotel Berghof, where you can fill up on the same delicious buffet spread as the other guests.
Just so you know, the photos shown here are artist’s impressions, so the final look of the hotel may differ slightly.
