The Hotel Alpenrose is one of the best hotels in Alpe d’Huez. It’s conveniently situated in the ‘Les Bergers’ area of the resort but still just a few minutes’ walk to the lift. Built in 2013, it comprises 27 very comfortable and spacious suites – and they’re all well-equipped with a balcony or terrace to enjoy the wintery landscape. Evening meals are definitely a highlight and are served in the intimate restaurant complete with log fire, while breakfast is a copious buffet. There a number of possibilities to wind down and relax after a day on the slopes; the hotel has a heated outdoor pool, steam room and fitness room while a range of massage treatments can be booked (and paid for) locally.
