Friendly Italian hospitality brings people back to the Hotel Diana year after year – and after a stay here, you might just be one of them. It’s traditional through and through, from the look to the food, and is in a quiet spot on the edge of Canazei, a 5-minute bus ride to the ski lift.
The Dantone family have been running the place for years so it’s got a really homey feel that matches the classic chalet design – think patterned fabrics, knick-knacks and lots of wood panelling. Things are a little more modern in the rooms, with their white walls and simple pine furniture, and they’re pretty spacious too.
You’ll dig into a simple spread of cakes, cheese, meat and cereal for breakfast each day, then come back to a 3-course dinner of good home cooking. Then it’s off to the bar for a nightcap before getting a good night’s sleep, ready to hit the slopes again tomorrow.
