There is a multitude of excellent restaurants in Jasper from traditional burger joints to sushi to Italian. The Raven Bistro serves great food, Evil Dave’s Grill (great name) is well worth a visit. If you’re wanting food to go. try the Bear Paw’s Bakery and Patricia Street Deli – both provide superb subs.
Jasper Ski Resort Activities
Off the slopes the braver in your party may like to try ‘Canyon Crawling’ through frozen waterfalls within the deep chasms of Maligne Canyon. There is also dog sledding, snowmobiling, heli-tours and backcountry skiing.
The skiing and boarding in Jasper will suit most abilities as there is something for everyone from long, gentle green runs to high steep bowls and chutes. Beginners will put in their first turns in the likes of Sleeps Hollow and Bunny Hop. Intermediates will just love the wide open bowls and finely groomed runs throughout Marmot Basin. More advanced skiers and boarders will enjoy the glade skiing through the pine forests and the challenge of Charlie’s Bowl. For those who love the bumps head to Exhibition and Milk Run. Snowboarders will enjoy the natural bowls and gullies that offer some lovely freeriding terrain. There is also a terrain park with jumps and rails.
