Featured Ski Packages in Flaine
All Flaine Packages
Flaine is often overlooked by British skiers but it offers some of the best skiing in France. Ski chalets, apartments and hotels are all available to book for those perfect ski holidays. It is a compact and purpose built resort that is set on two levels. Flaine Forum is the main area and is traffic free so great for families. Flaine Foret is up the hillside and links to Flaine Forum by two funiculars. Both villages have their own shops, bars and restaurants. This is very much a child friendly resort and they are well catered for with play areas.
Flaine Apres Ski
The Flying Dutchman and The White Pub offer good après ski. There is a bar at the bowling alley that is also popular with families. There is one nightclub called the Diamont Noir. Off the slopes there is an ice driving circuit or you could go snowmobiling for fun. Dog sledding is also a hit in Flaine. There is also a cinema, gymnasium and swimming pool.
Flaine lies in a huge open bowl and is renowned for fantastic snow conditions and sunny days. Beginners have access to excellent nursery slopes by the village. Intermediates will enjoy the good variety of pistes on offer.
The Faust is good for carving turns and the Cristal is great for just cruising. Experts will enjoy some serious black runs such as the Diamont Noir. The Gers bowl is good fun and we recommend it for a bit of a challenge.
If you are thinking of some off piste skiing then seriously hire a guide as the off piste is littered with crevasses and potholes. Snowboarders will enjoy the woods outside the main bowl and there is a large terrain park called the JamPark Pro. There is around 17Km of cross country with the majority being on the valley floor.
